This sketch is inspired from 'Numb' by Linkin Park. I used to listen to rock when I was in school. That was some time ago. I was just flipping through channels and found it playing on vh1. It was nice listening to this kind of music after such a long time. Made me sort of nostalgic. So much has changed, I'm not the way I used to be.

The lines that inspired this sketch -
I'm tired of being what you want me to be,
Feeling so faithless lost under the surface,
Don't know what you're expecting of me,
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes ...
Yep, the opening of the song.
It really surprises me that I used to be able to appreciate the meaning even without knowing the feeling.
P.S. - I've been feeling especially paranoid about content theft ever since the little 'joke' by this fella, please disregard the sundancekid bit on the sketch.

Er ... this is getting a bit out of hand. I don't believe I've actually included the lyrics of 'Way Back Into Love' in one of my sketches. When am I going to get that song off my head?
I made a sketch of 'Christina's World' the painting by Andrew Wyeth. It's one of my favorites. Would you like to take a look?

I know it's a poor immitation. Mine's just pencil, the original's in tempra for one thing, not that there's any comparison of course.
I can't do paint. I'm not much good with it, but maybe that's because I've never tried.
Here's the whole painting -

When I first saw it, I thought -
'What a pretty girl that Christina must be. She looks so nice in her lovely pink dress. And she has such long brown hair. Her family must own that farm. And she must have been playing in it when someone from the house called for her.'
But when I looked it up, I found that Christina is actually a 55 year old woman suffering from undiagnosed muscular deterioration that paralyzed her lower body. And she is actually crawling her way across the field.
What actually was, and what I had assumed turned out to be so different. Why does that keep happening?
I've just noticed this little glitch, but I'm rather reluctant to critisize.

Don't you think that Venus' left eye in the painting 'Birth of Venus' by Boticelli is a bit lopsided?
I feel like I've just comitted a blasphemy.

I was just writing, and I had this really insane urge to break the nib.
So I did.
And instead of writing, I made this.
Yes, I made this with a broken nib and a bit of paper.
Ingenious, isn't it?
You think I'm bragging, don't you.
Anyway, what do you think of it?
